Australian psych experts Tame Impala aren't quite ready to reveal all the details behind their next album, but the band have at least rolled out a new single from the set, in addition to some North American tour info.
Firstly, the band have let loose the "Let It Happen" single for all to enjoy. You can get it over here for the price of an email. It's a near eight-minute experience of neon-haze synth sounds, vocoder-slathered falsetto vocals and a steady slam of snare hits. There's also an extended CD skip-style passage of clicks mid-song that lead up towards an even more intoxicating expression of the track's recurring keyboard hook.
It should be noted that Tame Impala have yet to affix a proper street date to their full-length follow-up to their 2012's critically adored Lonerism, but it's expected to arrive at some point in 2015.
The Aussie unit had previously unveiled a handful of North American tour stops, including back-to-back weekend appearances at Coachella. They've now significantly upped the ante, adding numerous festival and to the itinerary. Canadian crowds take note: this now means that Tame Impala are heading to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
