Tamaryn Announces North American Tour, Plays Toronto, Montreal

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 29, 2012

Dreamy goth pop songstress Tamaryn recently spilled the beans on her sophomore set Tender New Signs, an LP that apparently features "stadium-sized guitars, surging with softly-lit, languid melodies." That said, the musician will make her way to a number of more intimate venues on her upcoming fall tour.

Following some October dates in Europe, Tamaryn and her band will make their way around North America on a month-long trip. The trek will find them teaming up with California dream pop crew Young Prisms, and both bands will make it up to Canada for shows in Toronto and Montreal. You can check the North American itinerary down below.

As previously reported, Tamaryn crafted Tender New Signs with longtime collaborator Rex John Shelverton (Das Audience, Vue, Portaits of Past), and the album is described as featuring a handful of "gigantic rock'n'roll epiphanies" that build upon the wall of sound set up on her 2010 debut LP The Waves.

"In making this record, I hoped to transcend the mundane world, by living in a new one of my own creation," Tamaryn previously said in a statement.

Tender New Signs drops October 16 through Mexican Summer.
