As the home of Wavves, Band of Horses, Crocodiles, Andrew Bird and many others, Oxford, MS-based imprint Fat Possum continues to expand its catalogue with interesting additions. The next big project for the label is a reissue campaign for '70s cult heroes T. Rex.

Fat Possum will kick off its batch of T. Rex reissues with the 1972 classic The Slider. The album has been out of print in recent years, but that will change when Fat Possum unveils a reissued version later this month. The disc will be available on CD and as a digital download on October 26, with a remastered vinyl version coming on November 23.

Those interested in pre-ordering The Slider can point their attention here.

The label insists that it will be rolling out more T. Rex reissues in the near future, though it hasn’t revealed anymore details than that. Here’s hoping that it brings back A Beard of Stars and Unicorn.
