Swollen Members released their album Beautiful Death Machine a year ago today (March 19), and as Madchild prepares for a new album called Super Beast, the busy British Columbia rap outfit have announced yet another new album, along with a spring tour.
The outing starts in the second half in April, as the group will start off in their home province and head across the country as far as Montreal. They have a dozen Canadian shows plotted, and after that, they will head into the U.S. for more dates. All told, the jaunt runs for a little more than a month. See the schedule below.
As for the impending album, it's called Brand New Day and it will be out this summer through Battleaxe Records.
"With Brand New Day, Swollen Members have written a powerful new chapter in our history," the group's Prevail told HipHopDX. "We have all become forward thinkers and our level of expression has benefited. This album is a landmark for us in that it doesn't feature any guests. Our belief system has been renewed and we agreed that between the amazing production and the complexity of the lyrical value, we could let Brand New Day speak for itself."
