Rootsy Toronto band Sunparlour Players just announced their album The Living Proof, and now they've shared a lyric video for the opening track "Soapbox."
The song begins with heavy, chaotic riffs. These eventually coalesce in rapidly sung cowpunk verses and surging, wordless refrains, while a buzzy synth enters during the heavy breakdown. The accompanying lyric video uses vintage footage from a slightly awkward teen dance TV show Seventeen.
The Living Proof is due out on April 8. See the band's upcoming tour schedule here.
