While Stephen Malkmus has made a successful leap to solo artist, his Pavement brother Spiral Stairs is making a name for himself simply by means of his good taste. Hailing from San Francisco, this power pop quartet plays incredibly hook-laden rock, pulling together the best elements of psychedelia, punk, mod and garage culture.
