Sunglaciers Get Surreal in Space for New "Through the Screen" Video

Watch the Calgary outfit's clip for their 'Foreign Bodies' opener now

Calgary post-punks Sunglaciers delivered their debut full-length album Foreign Bodies this past September, and Exclaim! is proud to premiere the band's new video for "Through the Screen."

Helmed by Ryan Kostel, the clip pairs the four-piece's driving album opener with a host of hazy sci-fi clips, including exploding jetpacks, a space flight burial and some tense moments in the bowels of a ship.

As Kostel explained in a statement, his visuals "[conjure] feelings of distance and the spaces between, using a tilt shift lens to capture imagery from old Sci-fi VHS tapes, pieced together to disorientate and stimulate. Monotone images punctuated with splashes of warm colour, as if in deep dream."

Following a December 20 date in Calgary alongside the Shiverettes and Stripmall, Sunglaciers will join fellow Canadians Blessed and L.A.'s No Age at Edmonton's Winterruption YEG and Calgary's BIG Winter Classic in January. You can find their upcoming itinerary below.

Foreign Bodies is available to stream and purchase. Sunglaciers delivered their Twin Evil Twin EP in March of last year.
