Ahead of delivering their new Love in Shadow LP next month, Sumac have shared a first single from the disc.
Titled "Attis' Blade," the 15-minute track sports sections both pummelling and pensive. You can take in the entire thing below.
"While all Love in Shadow was written before our recording session with [Japanese artist Keiji Haino], that experience further bolstered our confidence to travel further into territories free of preconceived structure and melody," guitarist Aaron Turner explained in a statement. "Immediacy, intuition, and risk have become an increasingly important aspect of our music making."
Love in Shadow will arrive September 21 through Thrill Jockey. Sumac will also kick off a run of tour dates on September 1, with further details here.
