Sumac Announce More Dates Behind 'The Deal'
Modern metal warrior Aaron Turner is all set to hit Canada later this year as part of Old Man Gloom's "Eastern Residency Tour," but it's now been revealed that he'll be heading our way even earlier in the summer with his latest project, Sumac.

While the partnership of Turner and Baptists drummer Nick Yacyshyn will be hitting Calgary's Sled Island next month, a newly updated August tour schedule includes even more up-north appearances. The tour proper begins August 2 with a headlining date at Montreal's Bar Le Ritz and will be followed by a gig in Toronto the next night. From there, they'll head into the U.S. and team up with Neurosis for some of that act's upcoming tour.

You'll find the upcoming Sumac show schedule down below.

As previously reported, Sumac released their doom-dripping debut offering, The Deal, earlier in the year. The project was started between onetime Isis member Turner and Yacyshyn, though Brian Cook (Russian Circles, Botch) handled bass duties on the record and is part of the live band. They played their first show last December in Vancouver and have gone on a West Coast tour.

As for the upcoming Old Man Gloom trip, Turner and the rest of the metal supergroup make it into Toronto and Montreal this September. You'll find the full details over here.
