Following 2017's Leaving Kind, Montreal-based singer-songwriter Tamara Sandor has returned with a new EP called Your Ghosts.
After collaborating with other musicians on the last album, the new songs hear Sandor returning to working solo, and reflecting on the "simplicity and flexibility" of solitary songwriting.
The result is a set of "haunted Canadiana" ambient-folk songs.
"I think a lot of kids born in my generation grew up with a feeling that something is not quite right, but struggled to name it," Sandor tells Exclaim! "This collection of songs ended up being about that place before knowing, where the facts are obscured but there is the feeling of something under the surface trying to make itself heard. It seems like a particularly Canadian feeling, a product of the maddening politeness of our public discourse. It's also maybe a particularly pre-Internet feeling, from a time when information flowed from only a handful of channels."
The EP will be available for download on May 20, followed by a limited run of cassettes, but Exclaim! is giving you the chance to hear it in its entirety right now.

Tour dates:
05/20 Montreal, QC – Casa del Popolo
06/13 Toronto, ON – Burdock
06/14 Kingston, ON – 12CAT
06/15 Ottawa, ON – Black Squirrel Books
