Megadeth's sixteenth studio LP is finally here. The thrash titans' new album The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! can be heard in its entirety in the players below.

Following 2016's Dystopia, the 14-track The Sick, The Dying… and The Dead! was co-produced by frontman Dave Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, and features collaborations with Ice-T and Sammy Hagar.

Joining Mustaine in Megadeth's lineup are guitarist Kiko Loureiro and drummer Dirk Verbeuren, Following the departure of bassist Dave Ellefson, Steve DiGiorgio recorded bass for the new effort, replacing Ellefson's tracks. Going forward, Megadeth will feature returning alumnus, bassist James LoMenzo handling the low end.

Along with Megadeth membership requirements, a new interview with Exclaim! sees Mustaine explain how the band's latest came to be defined by speed, aggression and precision.

"You've got to really know for each riff where the sweet spot is, and I found this record had a lot of quicker tempos," the frontman shared. "The way that the songs were written: they started at a tempo, and once we started playing with everybody in the same room, they just demanded to be played faster."
