Somewhere along the line, EDM figure Steve Aoki developed a dessert-themed gimmick of tossing a giant cake into crowds, thus packing certain lucky fans' ears with both frosting and frenetic drops. Earlier this week, he saluted his concert highlight with a new single called "Cakeface," which has now been complemented with a messy highlight reel of Duncan Hines-inspired concert mayhem.
Down below, you'll find Aoki repeatedly mashing the faithful's faces with icing-topped treats, with some vehemently demanding a taste of the action with their custom "Cake Me!" T-shirts. Synths screech, calories skyrocket and smiles abound in the vid.
Apparently, Aoki will tone down the caking for 2015, though, having said in an earlier statement that he'll be axing the activity at most festival appearances. He added, however, "I'll be saving the CAKE for my headline shows, keeping it exclusive for the die-hard fans."
