Standstill

Barcelona is probably not the first place you'd expect to find a band like Standstill. Eschewing the Latin rhythms of their homeland, the quintet has more in common with Refused and Poison the Well than Enrique Iglesias. They fuse wickedly creative hardcore thrash and post-hardcore rhythms and angst with alternately screaming/singing vocal style (in English), spastic tempo changes and dark incisive lyrics. Think of Frodus meets old At the Drive-In.
