With Mistakes, punky Montreal power pop act Sonic Avenues released one of the year's best LPs. It's hardly their first outing, however, as they've got a pretty full back catalogue. Because their music deserves a revisit, the band's self-titled debut is getting a proper reissue.
The album first arrived in 2009 via Going Gaga but has been sold out for over four years. Now, it's finally being reissued by Dead Broke Rekerds this fall.
Rather than offer a straightforward replication of the original, the label is expanding it with two bonus tracks. One of them, the impossibly sweet fist-pumper "Bored with Love," is available to stream below courtesy of New Noise Magazine. If anything, it shows that this band have known exactly what they're doing all along.
Sonic Avenues can be pre-ordered here, and it is expected to ship at the end of August or early September. The first 100 copies will be available on green vinyl.
