While Snoop Dogg rechristened himself Snoop Lion for his recent, reggae-tinted Reincarnated LP, the West Coast artist born Calvin Broadus will apparently head back to his rap roots at an upcoming concert in Vancouver.
A press release notes that the D-O-double-G will bring his "classic smash hits" to Vancouver's outdoor Malkin Bowl on August 28, following a number of summer appearances in Europe and a pair of gigs in Commerce City, CO. You can see the rest of his international tour schedule over here.
Tickets for the Vancouver show go on sale July 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
As previously reported, Reincarnated had Snoop exploring reggae and dancehall sounds with Major Lazer member Diplo behind the boards. The record also featured guest spots from Rita Ora, Drake, Miley Cyrus, Akon, Mavado and more. Exclaim! described the set as "a somewhat sloppy mish-mash of reggae cuts that rarely attain an authentic air."
