Smashing Pumpkins' album Monuments to an Elegy is almost a year old, and although Billy Corgan and the gang still apparently have another LP on the way, they're revisiting their previous record by giving the cut "Run2Me" video.
The song is an arpeggiator-driven, new wave pop anthem. The video doesn't play into the glossy, electronic vibe; rather, it's a dark, dust-caked backwoods clip featuring some mystical-looking women. There are crystal balls, colourful paint splatters, curious trinkets, and a cryptic tale of escape and enlightenment that's brought to live with surreal effects.
The clip was directed by Linda Strawberry and was inspired by the Tarot card "The Magician." Watch it over here on Vulture.
