Smashing Pumpkins' upcoming deluxe edition of Adore comes equipped with an arsenal of alternate takes, remixes and live tracks. One such number was given the Bad Boy seal of approval, with Diddy (né Sean Combs Puff Daddy) having reworked standout "Ava Adore" with a symphonic remix.
The track brings out Corgan's familiarly conflicted lyrics on love and a soaring, distortion-saturated solo, but swaps out some of the post-goth grit in favour of symphony strings, pronounced acoustic strums and a '90s-style electronic beat that'd place this somewhere in a playlist with Duran Duran's "Come Undone," Sade's "No Ordinary Love" and an assortment of Seal singles.
Go ahead and taste god down below via the stream of Puffy's re-envisioned "Ava Adore." The track officially arrives, along with the rest of the monolithic offering, September 23 through Virgin/UMe.
