After hosting the virtual presentation of Knotfest late last week, Slipknot have invited fans to engage with them online in a new mask-making contest.

The band's Shawn "Clown" Crahan detailed the contest in a new post, asking fans to submit images of their own homemade masks, or altered existing masks for their "Take Off Your Face" contest, which will award winners a spot in an upcoming livestream event.

"It can be executed from scratch, or by turning an already existing mask into your own piece of art," wrote Clown. "I'll be highlighting my favorite ones, and some of you will be chosen to participate in a LIVE chat with me while wearing your mask in front of the world. Get creative. Stay sic."

Submissions can be sent to Knotfest's "Take Off Your Face" website.

Earlier this week, Crahan explained that the band never plan to perform without their own masks, calling the practice "pure religion" in an interview with The Fred Minnick Show.
