St. John's band Sleepy bear something of a resemblance to the early post-punk and prog elements of Wintersleep. They're more full on, with fewer dynamic progressions leading up to the explosions within their arrangements, but there are still arcs to their songs.

Vocalist and guitarist Dan Greene gives his all and pushes his relatively monotone voice to its limits to put his ambitiously built songs across. And while he suggested naming one of their songs "Big Me" was merely happenstance, Sleepy's sound would occasionally veer into the melodic, riff-laden pop hardcore of Foo Fighters. It was a spirited display from a young hard rock band with a busy sound.
