Calgary's Sled Island festival has been rolling out its 2017 lineup slowly but surely, and a little over a month ahead of its event, the full lineup has finally arrived.
Joining the festival lineup as part of the third announcement are Wavves, Tyvek, Bash & Pop, DJ Orange Julius, Anunnaki, Borscht, HSY, Not You, Pierre, Shooting Guns, Tispur, Wares, Wilt, Yao Guai Cave, Aiwass, DRI HIEV, Glaux, HomeSick, HYMN, Kris Ellestad, Louis CZA the Black Greek God, Sellout, Valiska and Woodhawk
Festival curator Flying Lotus has made a few additional hand-selected picks of his own, including Once and Future band, IGLOOGHOST, DJ Paypal and Busdriver.
They join previously announced performers such as DJ Quik, Converge, Cloud Nothings, MONO, Waxahatchee, Low, Silver Apples, Shonen Knife, Wolves in the Throne Room, Daughters, Jimmy Edgar, Mike Watt + the Missingmen, Guitar Wolf, DIANA, Weyes Blood and more.
Sled Island's comedy lineup features the likes of Aparna Nancherla, Brent Weinbach, Levi MacDougall, Marty Topps, Tranna Wintour and Nour Hadidi, while the film program includes Videokills - The Explorer Series: Invisible City Symphonies, A Time to Swim, Cassette: A Documentary Mixtape, A Story of Sahel Sounds and Nosferatu, which will be soundtracked by Shooting Guns.
