Following the recent release of their latest album The Center Won't Hold, Sleater-Kinney have unveiled a new track called "Animal."

The song was recorded at St. Vincent's home studio, before drummer Janet Weiss left the band this summer.

"'Animal' is a song about rebellion, retaliation and rage," Corin Tucker said in a statement. "It is a song about letting go of all politeness and filters and letting the 'animal' side speak. The vocals for this song were recorded in St. Vincent's home studio, a perfect place to unleash a voice like this."

Sleater-Kinney will embark on their North American tour next week. They recently revealed that Angie Boylan would be filling in for Weiss behind the kit for the upcoming dates.
