Sideman "I Had a 'Bad Idea'"

Sideman 'I Had a 'Bad Idea''
While they've been plugging away in the backgrounds of a number of bands over the years, Justis Krar and Ross Miller recently started up a self-referential new project of their own called Sideman. Taking their creative skills to the forefront, they've unveiled a new online single called "I Had a 'Bad Idea,'" which is streaming now.

The jittery, post-hardcore explosion is full of snaking six-string licks and a screamed, but almost early Beasties back-and-forth vocal approach. There's melody in the mix too, but the song is plenty punchy and percussive with its punkiness.

A press release further explains that Krar and Miller have collectively performed with Single Mothers, TV Freaks, Daniel Romano, Shotgun Jimmie and many more, though they're taking the reins with Sideman.

A statement from the pair explains: "We started Sideman because we were always a sideman (a supporting musician in a band) and now we are doing exactly what we want to do."

You'll find "I Had a 'Bad Idea'" below, along with details on a few upcoming shows.
