Shawn Mendes has postponed several of his upcoming Wonder world tour dates while he tends to his mental health.

The Canadian singer shared the news via Instagram last week (July 9), noting that all shows through to his previously scheduled Uncasville, CT, performance on July 29 will no longer proceed as planned.

"I've been touring since I was 15 and to be honest it's always been difficult to be on the road away from friends and family," he explained in the post. "After a few years off the road, I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me and I've hit a breaking point."

Mendes continued: "After speaking with my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost. As soon as there are more updates I promise I will let you know."

As of press time, Mendes's July 31 date at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena remains unaffected, and will mark his return to the road following the postponement of several US stops. His double-header in Montreal on August 15 and 16 also appears to be unaffected.
