Shannon Rose's press materials note that the Ottawa folk-pop singer "enjoys the quiet life — reading, Scrabble and tea." Nevertheless, she will be leaving this life behind when she hits the road in the coming weeks for her first national tour.
Following an appearance at the Ottawa Folk Festival on September 5, Rose will spend the rest of the month on the road. Starting off in Ontario, she will head west all the way to Vancouver before making her way back. Only the first two shows — in Ottawa and Finch — are full-band gigs.
In total, the schedule includes a dozen dates. See the itinerary below.
The trek will be in support of Seasons, a double album that Rose and her band the Thorns released earlier this year. It consists of four EPs, each inspired by a different Canadian season. The whole thing is available to stream at the bottom of this page.
