Seven Sisters of Sleep

Seven Sisters of Sleep

More great hardcore sludge from A389 here, with Seven Sisters of Sleep's self-titled seven-inch, a deluxe package featuring all kinds of goodies, including the vinyl seven-inch, a CD with three bonus tracks from the band's split with Children of God, a poster and a patch! If more bands made releases packed with this kind of love, we'd all be buying more records these days. While Seven Sisters of Sleep have a moniker that sounds like a Disney movie, their music brings together the best of Southern sludge and So-Cal hardcore. It's a toxic mix of pulsating, grooving rhythms, throaty vocals and the occasional outburst of extreme blast beat frenzy. The result is aggressive, rhythmic hardcore with a beer-cracking swagger. This is perfect summer listening.
