Time to get in touch with your roots, bloody roots North America. Sepultura, the revered thrash brigade/troupe that allegedly instigated the glut of detuned metal/"core" bands that have been taking over the world of extreme music since the late 1990s have made some heavy announcements.
The quartet have revealed that it's time not only for a new album following up 2009's acclaimed studio effort A-Lex, but a tour to boot.
Currently in the midst of writing, their dozenth release has no official details at present but be assured you will read them here the moment they're offered. That should be sooner rather than later, as the band intends to have the finished product out in time for this North American traipse bolstered by a host of talented support. And yes, there are a pile of Canadian dates included on the run.
Keep in mind, though, that not all bands appear on the tour's duration. While death metallers Hate, Norway's Keep of Kalessin, Canucks Neuraxis and thrashers Bonded by Blood will be at every stop, direct support will oscillate between Austrian blackened death metallers Belphagor and American prog quartet Nevermore. A few lucky Californians will even get to catch Seputura's fellow Brazilians/power metallers Angra.
