Saves the Day Announce North American Tour, Share Single Ahead of New Album Release

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 17, 2013

It's been a while since we last heard from melodic hardcore crew-turned-pop rockers Saves the Day, but this morning (June 17) the long-running outfit re-staked their claim in the game by announcing plans to follow up their 2011 LP Daybreak sometime soon.

While very little was shed in the form of album information, the group revealed new tune "Remember" in a press statement today. The song will figure on their eighth full-length, and you can stream the slightly shoegazing pop single down below.

According to recent blog posts from the band, they've been working on the LP since last February at Michigan's Rancho Recordo. The record is the first to feature new drummer Dennis Wilson (Every Avenue, This Is Hell). Funded by a successful crowd-sourcing campaign, the album will be released independently via Pledge Music.

Though a due date has not yet been given for the impending LP, its release could be timed to the band's recently unveiled tour schedule, which starts off in Pomona, CA, in early September. Into It. Over It and Hostage Calm will support Saves the Day on all dates, including stops in Vancouver and Toronto. You can see the tour details down below.

According to a statement from the band, the upcoming headlining trip will have them "playing oldies, deep cuts, and lots of new jams from OUR NEW RECORD."
