Sappyfest has announced the first slate of performers gearing up to take Sackville, NB, by storm this summer.
This year, festivities will take place on Bridge Street and at multiple satellite venues throughout Sackville from August 2 to 4.
The first wave of artists unveiled today includes Saltwater Hank, Pete Moss, Puberty Well, the Umbrella Collective and the Nectar Collective (composed of aniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiita, dj decision and dumb little bitch). Sappyfest organizers will also highlight children's theatre group the Drama Queenz and visual artist Deirdre Sokolowska.
"As a festival dedicated to presenting a program of emerging and unheralded artists, we are so excited to share with you a sneak peek of artists who invigorate and inspire us with their new and thrilling works, who you might not know but we think you'll love," Sappyfest creative director Andrea Vincent said.
