Singer-songwriter Samantha Savage Smith has developed a strong local fanbase in Calgary, but she's set to extend past the city's borders when she releases her debut album Tough Cookie later this year.
The album was recorded with Lorrie Matheson (Rae Spoon, Ghostkeeper) in 2010 and released on small scale earlier this year. Now, Tough Cookie will be available nationwide on September 6 via Western Famine with distribution through Arts & Crafts. Album track "The Fight" can be downloaded here.
The album's release will be followed by a full national tour, with dates to be announced soon. In the meantime, Smith will also be performing at Toronto's NXNE this week. All upcoming shows are available below.
