Said the Whale

"We Are 1980" (video)

As previously reported, on top of delivering their Little Mountain LP, Vancouver pop rock outfit Said the Whale are also unveiling videos for each of the album's tracks. Up first, in an Exclaim! premiere, is the new clip for opening cut "We Are 1980."

While the troupe are going to be crazy busy touring behind the record, the clip starts off with Said the Whale just lounging around at home. Things get weird, though, once one member realizes he can flip through real-life settings the same way he can scroll through pics on his smartphone.

This leads to him shaking up the scenery from the modest house to a majestic forest landscape. Just as lyrics about the information pop up mid-song, though, dude starts to panic as his surroundings get pixilated.

Watch his world unfurl below.

Little Mountain hits stores March 6 via Hidden Pony/EMI. You can see all Said the Whale's upcoming tour dates here, and watch the band's recent Exclaim! TV appearances here and here.
