Said the Whale

'West Coast Christmas EP 2011' (EP stream)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Dec 24, 2011

For Vancouver pop rock troupe Said the Whale, releasing free music for the holidays has become an annual tradition, as they've shared a selection of seasonal tunes each year since 2007. This year is no exception, as the band has released its West Coast Christmas EP 2011.

The collection is available from Bandcamp as a pay-what-you-want download. That means you can get the tunes for free; if you choose to make a donation, all proceeds will go towards the St. James Music Academy, a charity that provides free music eduction to underprivileged children. So, y'know, give generously. As you might remember, some members of Said the Whale recently participated in a Vancouver benefit show to support the organization.

West Coast Christmas EP 2011 includes three songs: "Joy and Love," "Smoke Signals" and "Hope and Peace." Check them out below.
