A collage in both lineup and sound, Sagittaire with Ascetic Faces is the name of a new Los Angeles collective whose second-ever single, "Price of Salt," is out now.

Featuring Brynne and brz, "Price of Salt" opens with a head-bobbing trip-hop beat and dreamy vocals before leaning fully into its hip-hop influences with a rap verse from brz. The accompanying video, directed by Bea Vischer, emphasizes the dreamy collage vibe with its layered, bleary mish-mash of vibey found footage.

Sagittaire (a.k.a. Ivan Mairesse) explained in a statement, "The phrase 'Price of Salt' is a nod to the Patricia Highsmith book of the same title, which I interpret as signifying the pursuit of something that is forbidden – something that comes into your life and unexpectedly turns it upside down. The song's lyrics are full of 'double entendres' and contrasting elements, which I really wanted to mirror in the music – deconstructing the regular pop song structure and embracing a playful unpredictability in terms of where the song takes you."

Watch the video below. The song comes from Sagittaire with Ascetic Faces' upcoming debit album Coventry Suite Pt. 1.
