Wu-Tang Clan producer/rapper RZA has extended his reach into the world of film yet again, with news arriving that the beloved beatmaker has put his handiwork on an upcoming horror genre spoof titled Meet the Blacks.

The film, written and directed by Deon Taylor (The Hustle), parodies dystopian, sociopolitical parable The Purge, and stars Mike Epps as Carl Black, a man who has just moved his family into an affluent California neighbourhood. As you'll see in the trailer down below, it attempts to put a comedic twist on The Purge's government-sanctioned, murder night free-for-all.

The film also features appearances from Mike Tyson, Charlie Murphy and George Lopez, among others. Meet the Blacks is set to open April 29.

RZA's film-scoring career includes his work on kung-fu flick The Man with Iron Fists, which he also co-wrote and directed.

More recently, it was reported that the rapper-turned-film mogul was set to direct an action movie titled Breakout, as well as star in a biopic based on the life of American porn star Vanessa del Rio. Apparently, RZA will star as a doorman to a nightclub where del Rio had once worked.
