Judging by his semi-recent Vancouver concert, bass-rumbling English DJ Rusko is a high-energy dude, and fans will get more pep from the performer when he both drops a new album and crosses the Atlantic to play a number of North American dates.
The new record, simply titled Songs, arrives March 27 through Mad Decent/Downtown Recordings, and according to a press release, it's "a collection of masterful pop songs that will reach far beyond the dance floors."
While the LP is said to still feature the bone-rattling bass tones of his past work, the effort apparently tackles more than just dubstep-inspired jams. Lead single "Somebody to Love," which you can check out in the balloon-and-confetti-touched concert video below, allegedly features an "instantly memorable chorus," while "Skanker" is said to rocket you "from Kingston to outer space" with its futuristic attempt at dub and roots. Elsewhere, the electronic artist tackles Hi-NRG ("Thunder") and R&B ("Dirty Sexy").
Rusko will also be heading out on an intimate club tour next month, and he'll be hitting up Canada three times. Included on his tour schedule, which you can see below, are a trio of Ontario dates in Kingston, London and Guelph. Check out the details below.
