Run-DMC Reuniting for Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest

Get ready to rock your dusty 'didas, Kangol hat and gold chain outfits, the surviving members of hip-hop pioneers Run-DMC are getting back together for this year's Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin.

The performance will mark the first time Rev Run (aka Joseph Simmons) and DMC (Darryl McDaniels) have performed together as Run-DMC since the tragic 2002 death of their DJ, Jam-Master Jay (aka Jason Mizell).

News of the reunion comes via a trailer for the event, which runs November 2 to 4, that brandishes the band's iconic logo and a snippet of classic jam "Run's House." You can peep the clip below.

In addition to a set that should hopefully bring out other hits like "My Adidas," "It's Tricky" and "King of Rock," DMC will also be performing a solo set. A portion of the proceeds from Fun Fun Fun Fest will be donated to the JMJ Foundation for Music, a non-profit organization supporting arts and music education in U.S. public schools.

Other performers attached to this year's Fun Fun Fun Fest so far include Atlas Sound, Baroness, Danny Brown, Rakim, Bob Mould, Against Me!, Black Moth Super Rainbow, David Cross and more.
