BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 9, 2016

Rostam Batmanglij has been keeping busy since departing Vampire Weekend, expanding his output as a solo artist and teaming up with the Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser for an upcoming album titled I Had a Dream That You Were Mine.

The musician stopped by KCRW yesterday (August 8) and debuted new songs from both projects. After speaking about loosening the boundaries around his role in Vampire Weekend, Batmanglij shared a new song called "Gwan" under his simplified Rostam moniker. You can hear it in the player below at the 13:15 mark.

Then, at the 31:15 mark, he also premiered a new cut from his aptly titled collaborative group with Hamilton Leithauser, Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam. The track is called "Sick as a Dog" and will appear on the aforementioned upcoming album. I Had a Dream That You Were Mine lands on September 23 through Glassnote.
