Roger Waters is the latest artist to have live commitments derailed by the coronavirus pandemic, announcing that his "This Is Not a Drill" North American tour has been postponed.
In a statement today, Rogers revealed that the trek has been postponed until 2021. He was slated to play two dates in Toronto in July, in addition to stops in Montreal and Quebec City, ahead of playing Vancouver and Edmonton in September.
"The bad news is: I've had to postpone my tour until next year. Bummer, but if it saves one life, it's worth it," Waters wrote, adding, "The good news is a federal Judge in Washington DC ruled on March 25, 2020 that Trump's Dakota Access Pipeline Executive order was ILLEGAL and demands an E.I.S (Environmental Impact Statement). This is a huge victory for the STANDING ROCK SIOUX TRIBES. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! Love R."
Promoters advise ticketholders to hold onto their original tickets and await further information on rescheduled dates. You can find the affected itinerary below.
In 2017, Waters asked listeners Is This the Life We Really Want? on his last solo LP.
