Rockie Fresh

'The Night I Went To...New York' EP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 8, 2016

Though 2015 was pretty quiet for Rockie Fresh, the Chi-town rapper has been on a roll of late. Following his January-released The Night I Went To... mixtape, he's been offering up a series of related EPs. Coming off salutes to his hometown and L.A., the next freebie set from Fresh is The Night I Went To...New York.

The four-song release starts with something familiar, namely Fresh's previously issued "Thank You" single with Maybach Music Group head Rick Ross. Also on the EP are the destiny-shaping synth swerver "Too Long," an ultra-melodic AutoTuned interlude titled "All You," and a minimalist smoke-out called "Difference" that has the rapper pondering relationships.
