Canada's answer to Queens of the Stone Age avoids the sophomore jinx with this Ian Blurton-produced slab of monstrous riff-rock. The second offering from the Nova Scotia-based power trio is heavier on the riffs and the classic metal elements and with Blurton's help, rawer and more urgent. Some of the best 70s-flavoured Can-rock since the Stampeders' "Wild Eyes. It's small wonder Rock Ranger has been sharing the stage with the likes of Danko Jones and Tricky Woo. You couldn't ask for more complementary pairings.
