While Led Zeppelin may never reform again, frontman Robert Plant is still steadily releasing new material. His latest disc, Carry Fire, arrives today (October 13) and can be heard in its entirety below.
Released through Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records, Carry Fire runs 11 tracks in length and stands as Plant's 14th solo LP. Guests on the record include Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde, cellist Redi Hasa and viola and fiddle player Seth Lakeman.
"It's about intention, I respect and relish my past works but each time I feel the lure and incentive to create new work. I must mix old with new," Plant said in a statement. "Consequently the whole impetus of the band has moved on its axis somewhat, the new sound and different space giving way to exciting and dramatic landscapes of mood, melody and instrumentation."
Plant will tour in support of the record throughout February of next year, including a lone Canadian stop at Toronto's historic Massey Hall. You can find further details on the run of dates here.
