Up-and-coming Toronto trio Rituals launched their latest EP, Mesmerized, with a Toronto release show yesterday (April 3), and you can now stream the whole thing on Exclaim.ca.
The EP features seven tracks, including mood-setting intro and outro pieces (cryptically titled "∆∆∆" and "∆∆∆∆"). Elsewhere, "Our Blood" is an garbled assault of grimy guitars and distorted vocals, "Fortune Teller" is a shadowy post-punk rocker, and "July" is a speaker-punishing stomp.
Mesmerized was written by band founder Adam Seward, laid down at Candle Recording, and mixed by Josh Korody (Beliefs, Breeze). It's out through One Big Silence, and you can stream it all below, where you'll also find Rituals' upcoming Canadian dates.
