Ringworm last left us with their Stigmatas in Flesh live LP on A389, but the Cleveland metal/hardcore vets have announced their next studio set will arrive via Relapse Records.
Ringworm have yet to detail the impending album, their first proper LP since 2011's Scars, but the band will hit the studio in April and plan for a late 2013 release. According to vocalist James Bulloch (aka Human Furnace), after over two decades on the scene, the band have finally found their perfect fit with Relapse. They had previously issued singles and LPs via Victory, Deathwish Inc., A389 and more.
Bulloch said in a statement:
Throughout our existence I've felt that Ringworm has always been the "black sheep," never quite fitting into any specific genre mold. Sometimes too metal for hardcore, other times too hardcore for metal. We enjoy distorting the line between the two and, often, completely destroying it. But I've always felt that we've never quite had a home that understood where we're coming from and embraced the fact what we are a "black sheep" and we aren't cookie-cut bullshit. We feel that we finally found that home. They understand that there are legions of black sheep out there that don't fit into society's "one size fits all" mould. We couldn't be more excited to be more working with Relapse.
