Rich Aucoin released his latest release, Release, earlier this year, and he's gearing up to take the new tunes on tour this fall.
Known for his celebratory, colourful live show, it's a bit jarring to learn that Aucoin is dubbing the upcoming dates the "Death Tour" — but don't worry, he's still bringing parachutes, confetti and projections on the road with him. Plus, Release was also titled Death anyway.
Aucoin and co. will perform Release in its entirety at the upcoming shows, syncing the songs to the 1951 film Alice in Wonderland.
The string of shows kicks off in Guelph on October 10, followed by Canadian dates in Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, St. John's, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Calgary.
He'll also dip into the United States for gigs in Brooklyn, Pittsburgh and Chicago.
The newly announced "Death Tour" follows Aucion's previously announced tour dates, which include more dates here in Canada, as well as the U.S. More dates are also promised to be announced soon.
