Reigning Sound's 'Live at Goner Records' Treated to Reissue

Memphis garage rockers Reigning Sound still haven't released an album since signing to Merge a couple of years back, but their prior album Live at Goner Records is set to be reissued. It will be out on vinyl on March 25 and CD April 13 through Goner.

The set was recorded at Goner's store in Memphis. A press release notes, "Not so fresh from a previous night's romp at the Buccaneer club, the band unleashes hell on fifteen tracks of hangover melting rock, garage, country wildness."

The set includes covers of the the Sham, the Swingin' Yo-Yo's and Carl Perkins. During the show, frontman Greg Cartwright — also of Oblivians and the Compulsive Gamblers — also gets electrocuted.

From the looks of things, this is a simple repress rather than any sort of deluxe version, since the 16-song tracklist is preserved.
