Consisting of members of Acid Mothers Temple, Mainliner and Telstar Ponies, this cinematic-ambient four-piece use, not a flashlight, but guitars, sarangi and bizarre percussion as tools to take the listener on a passive dredging journey through the tunnels of a mega-massive sonic glacier. Vocals do rise to the surface from time to time on these two 20-minute-plus, slightly battery-drained ticking clock-paced pieces, but it comes off more like an instrument that is processed and aged as if one was hearing them as a faint underwater alien telescope signal. There isn't much variation of melody going on in this record at all, and certainly no moments of lively joyous hope being reached, so listeners should take heed and expect to be mentally brought down into a dark mood (ensured by a veteran engineer who has done Stockhausen and Can). It isn't an unfortunate factor though, it's just that one will find this is more suitable for those who like their ambient music to be prepared on the grim side that will rustle a couple of internal demons and leave them thinking about any proverbial skeletons they might have in their closet.
