Toronto-via-Nova Scotia singer-songwriter Rachel Bobbitt has shared new single "What About the Kids" from her forthcoming EP, The Ceiling Could Collapse — due July 15 via Fantasy Records.

"'What About The Kids' is about navigating familial loss," Bobbitt said of the track. "Sometimes, in traumatic situations, parents naturally want to shield their children from the ugliness of the world. While this is a completely understandable reaction, it can create a feeling of isolation within the family. There's truly no right or wrong way to grieve, the only thing we can try to do is grieve together."

Bobbitt will take her new record on the road this summer, having lined up supporting performances for Men I Trust, Indigo De Souza and Bad Bad Hats through July and August. Two Canadian dates come on the trek, one each in Montreal and Toronto, in support of De Souza.

Check those dates and hear "What About the Kids" below.
