Following the 2022 release of their Profound Mysteries trilogy, Röyksopp have announced their first North American tour dates in six years. The True Electric Tour includes a lone Canadian stop in Toronto.
"With True Electric we want to bring the pure and immersive Röyksopp experience of our studio productions to the live stage," the Norwegian duo said in a press release. "This means synths, samplers and sequencers, in a performance where the hero of the show is the music itself. Expect an eclectic set where energetic beats meet vast, transcending soundscapes. True electric — what it says on the tin."
The eight-show run kicks off on September 21 in San Francisco. The electronic unit will perform at Toronto's History on September 30 as their penultimate date, wrapping things up on October 10 in New York.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday (June 23). Presale tickets will be available via the band's mailing list tomorrow (June 22) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time.
