Toronto musician Pete Carmichael, best known for fronting the Diableros, has reportedly died.

Last night (January 21), a number of his friends on social media revealed that he had been found, but confirmed dead.
Carmichael formed the Diableros with drummer Phoebe Lee in 2004, and they released their acclaimed debut album You Can't Break the Strings in Our Olympic Hearts in 2006.
The band's second album, Aren't Ready for the Country, was released the following year in 2007. They also released an EP titled Old Story, Fresh Road in 2009, before disbanding in 2010.
Following his work with the Diableros, Carmichael continued to perform and release solo music.

This is so sad and shocking. I caught the tail end of the Diableros. I think I saw them at the opening party for the Garrison? Pete played with such passion. He was always good to talk to when I saw him around. Seemed like such a sweet guy.
