Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti Reportedly Not Breaking Up After All

Over the weekend, Ariel Pink sent fans into a frenzy with what appeared to be news that he had dismantled his backing band.

Taking to his Facebook page, the outsider pop star wrote, "BROKE UP THE BAND TODAY HAUNTED GRAFFITI R.I.P."

You can't exactly blame us for thinking that meant, well, that he broke up his band, and that the Haunted Graffiti should rest in peace.

According to Pink's publicist, however, that's not the case, as Pitchfork was told that there is "no truth" to the claims that the Haunted Graffiti have broken up.

While that's undoubtedly comforting for fans of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, we can't help but wonder why the hell Pink chose to write that on his Facebook, then. Is he one of those people who changes their relationship status the minute they get in a fight with their significant other?

The only thing we can know for certain is that Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti will release Mature Themes on August 21 via 4AD.
