Josh McIntyre — the Canadian producer, songwriter and DJ known best for his work with Prince Innocence and Little Girls — has shared plans to release a debut solo album as Prince Josh.
Titled The Joy, the album arrives on March 6 through Hand Drawn Dracula. While a complete tracklisting has yet to be revealed, the album's title track is available to hear below.
Written in the winter of 2017, "The Joy" was made with both the dancefloor and good pair of headphones in mind. It follows previously shared single "Boo!," which arrived last October.
"I was trying to make a song that captured a very specific feeling," McIntyre explained. "The feeling you get when everything, for a split second, is perfect. Whether it's the beginning of a night out with friends or that moment on the dance floor when the music is perfect and nothing else matters."
